Grab a snack, kick back, and get comfy, cause this chapter is a long one! If you want to get your feet wet working online but you’re too busy for regular hours, then this is your chapter. I’ve filled this one with part time tasks flexible enough to fit right into your busy schedule. I’ve included voice-over jobs, transcription jobs, survey sites, moderator jobs, and much, much more. Can you say, “side hustle”?!
Voice-Over Work
Voices.com connects businesses with voice actors, and is a great place to find voice-over work. With a free account, you can view all the public job postings on the site, appear in search results, and audition for jobs you get a direct invitation for. You’ll need a premium account ($400 per year) to able to respond to public job postings and access all features of the site. That might sound like a large chunk of change, but voice-over artists commonly report earning $10,000 or more annually from gigs they’ve found on voices.com. Keeping that in mind, the premium subscription can definitely pay off!
Professional voice-over artist Jason McCoy said this about voices.com:
“I’ve been able to work with some really big name clients thanks to voices.com. If you want access to voice-over jobs, being a [premium] member of Voices is a no-brainer.”

Transcription
Rev is a website where freelancers can find flexible transcription work that fits into their own schedules. To join Rev, all you have to do is pass a short grammar and transcription test. Then you can choose from hundreds of different audio files and earn around $8 to $15 an hour if you’re a lightning fast typist. One of the biggest complaints Rev workers have is about the pay—if you’re a slower typist, you won’t make minimum wage, and you could honestly make more money seeking out transcription jobs on your own. However, Rev is a nice place to get experience with transcription if you’re a beginner or just want a “no brainer” way to stuff some extra cash in your pocket.
A Rev worker said that:
“…what really keeps me coming back is how satisfied I feel when I know I’ve done a good job. That’s my personal need that Rev really serves. I have found something I am very good at, and I get paid to do it. Win/win.”

Usability Testing
Test IO helps you become a tester, test the latest apps, websites, and games, and get paid for every issue you find. Never tested before? No worries! They’ll teach you how with their “Tester Academy,” it’s super simple and easy to get the hang of. Things you might do include: giving feedback, running test cases, or trying to replicate bugs other people found. And we’re not talking about the bugs you squash under your shoe. Some bug examples: the listed price is incorrect, the app crashes, you can’t login, an image isn’t displaying correctly…you get the idea. It’s usually pretty obvious when you come across one.
Most tests pay by the bug. You’ll earn more money for more critical bugs – up to $50 actually. You can also make money by reviewing apps and completing scripted test cases.

“I earn €30/month, but some people make around €150. I’m still learning… 🙂 It can be done by anyone for as long as they can understand the tutorials on the site, however, those who know more about IT have an advantage. They have a lot of work.”
Cha-ching! Give feedback to get cash. Pretty good deal, eh? 😉
