Being a digital nomad and always on the go is exciting and fun! But whenever there is fun and adventure, there are always going to be issues along the way. Lucky for you, I’ve done some research and compiled a list of three essential gadgets and items to bring along with you while on the road, or just working remotely!
1. GRAYL Ultralight Water Purifier Bottle
Many digital nomads live in places where the drinking water is not clean at all; not only can it make you very sick, but it also tastes horrendous. Even if you’re in a country claiming to have safe drinking water (usually from the tap) this doesn’t necessarily mean it is safe to drink. TONS of chemicals can be found in, yes, even tap water, so it’s best to protect yourself and ensure you’re drinking the cleanest and most purified water you can get.
The GRAYL water bottle is the best water bottle you can bring with you on the go, because it has an incredible filter that fits right in! This thing is an absolute machine – the filter removes 99% of almost all impurities from dirty water. You could even pull it from a dirty muddy lake and it would filter perfectly! One full bottle holds 16 ounces of water that can be filtered in just 15 seconds; just remove the filter (it slides right out), fill the bottle with water up to the line, then gently press the filter down on the water until you reach the bottom and VOILA! Your water is now safe to drink. The filter also lasts such a long time and is so cheap that you barely ever need to replace it! Say goodbye to having to go to the store to get your water.
2. The Scrubba Wash Bag
Sick of having to search for a laundry place when you desperately need to wash your clothes? Look no further! The Scrubba Wash Bag is a really simple but revolutionary way to do your laundry on the go! It’s pocket sized and will help you save time, money, and water. Inside the bag is a built in washboard so you can really scrub your clothes clean and get the soap in-between all of those hard to reach spots. For the low price of $55, it’s a complete steal and will save you tons of hassle while traveling
3. Solar power bank
This is more geared towards the digital nomads who move around more, but can still be applicable to everybody. Throughout my journeys across the world, I’ve heard countless stories of how people have run out of power on their phones or computers, which caused tons of problems. These issues can be eliminated by a solar power bank; as long as you’re in the sun, you will always have the ability to charge your electronic devices. Don’t be left without power ever again!
